I'm back home again from a long but succesful tour with the Glenn Miller Orchestra through Russia and the Baltics. During this tour I made some transcriptions of Tom Harrell playing the blues in all keys with Jamey Abersold. You will find this clip on YouTube.
After this transcription I thought it would be nice to create a new page with a lot of different Blues exercises with a backing track. Click here for this new page.

J.S. Bach "6 Sonatas & Partitas" (adapted for trumpet)
I was inspired making this ebook by listening to recordings of Hillary Hahn and Itzhak Perlman of this great music. But there are many other great violinists playing this music so check them out on YouTube or their CD's! Alison Balsom and Maurice André also made some nice recordings of some of these sonatas.

It took me many ours to finish this (free) etude book, but today "47 Etudes for Trumpet" is ready. This book was originally written for hobo by Franz Wilhelm Ferling but I adapted & edited it for trumpet. The nice thing about hobo etudes is that you get bigger intervals and other frases you normally would not write for trumpet. So it's written for the advanced trumpet player...

Yesterday we finished a great tour through Eastern-Europe. We played in nice cities like Belgrado, Prague, Sarajevo, Mostar, Budapest, etc. Today we continue touring through Germany followed by a tour in Russia with the Glenn Miller Orchestra.

This book is a compilation of 40 great pieces from the series Play 'em right. The series features 6 seperate books in jazz, rock and latin styles, the best of which have now been combined into one volume. The accompanying CD contains newly arranged backing tracks for every piece alongside demonstration performances. Now, what can go wrong? Let's Play 'em right!
12 Jazz Duets is a volume of wonderful pieces for two players - nice and jazzy, just like the title suggests. The pieces have been written for the advanced trumpet player and are essentially intended to be played together with a fellow musician at the same level. But you can also use them on your own, as the CD contains demo tracks, play-along tracks and tracks with the added first or second part. Each duet is based on the chord scheme of a jazz standard, so you can also improvise to the backing. In short: a wealth of possibilities for the jazz lover!
N.B. this book will be published soon by the Haske. | |||
